Airion's research theme "Research and Development of a Large Language Model for Ladder Program Generation in PLC Control," selected for the third phase of "GENIAC," the generative AI development support project by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and NEDO, was featured in the special article "AI Utilization in FA and Manufacturing: Moving to the Next Stage" in the Automation Shimbun No. 412 (published July 23, 2025).
In this project, when factory equipment specifications are entered in natural language, a language model with approximately 30B parameters automatically generates highly accurate ladder programs, aiming to significantly reduce design and development hours. Airion will continue to leverage generative AI to further contribute to improving productivity on the manufacturing floor.
