
Airion Inc. has introduced a new "robot dog" to further advance the use of AI in the real world (physical space).
We currently position the social implementation of "Physical AI"—intelligence that goes beyond the screen—as a key focus area. The newly introduced unit will serve as a verification platform for autonomous operation in complex terrain and environments, as well as for advanced robotics control.
Deepening "Physical AI"
Aiming for a future in which AI freely operates physical hardware and solves on-site challenges, we are currently focusing on the following technology development.
- Automatic generation of ladder programs
Using AI to automatically generate ladder programs for PLCs (programmable logic controllers), which are essential for controlling industrial robots and equipment. This dramatically reduces design hours and provides powerful support for DX on the manufacturing floor. - Controlling robot arms through spoken (natural) language
Leveraging LLMs (large language models), we are researching interfaces that allow robot arms to be operated intuitively using everyday language.
By integrating these technologies, Airion will build environments in which humans and AI can collaborate seamlessly across fields such as manufacturing, logistics, and maintenance.
